A Pale White Heart
large product photo Written and Directed by Jonathan Phelps (2000)

"A Pale White Heart," 2000, is a kenetic propaganda machine with fresh blood dripping from the 16mm projector. It portrays the human specimen, as a self disecting entity. This was one of Jonathan's first films, and the first to become more sculptural in nature, dancing and moving like music. Jonathan used an emense amount of found footage, scripted material, b-roll and heavy editing, including scratching and painting on the film itself. The film also has an original score written by Ian Colletti, which was eventually worked into "Thing vs Universe."
